Accountant seeks work in Africa

My name is Ulf Filhage, I am 33 years old and I am looking for work in Africa .

After four years at Lund's University in Sweden I graduated in Economics, Accounting and Law. For five years I have been looking for work in Africa and I am determined to make my dream come true and eventualy move to Africa with my wife and two children.

At present I am working with Lund's Kommun, equivalent to a City Council, as head of their department, and my work involves accounting for the years budget which covers aproximately one hundred and eighty million Swedish Kronors (aprox twentyfive million US dollars) and then distributing it to schools, libraries, day - care centres and health centres, etc as appropriate. This also means that my work includes organising meetings with local politicians to exchange views and come to agreements on how best to invest the money.

Working here covers most of what accounting has to offer and I find my work very interesting but, being ambitious, I feel that I want to achieve so much more and I beleive that working in Africa with travel or wild-life ( accountants are needed even here) can offer me the challenge I need.

I work with a computer every day with Access and Excel and I can work with Word, Windows 95. Ispeak fluent English.

I consider myself a positive and outgoing person that finds it easy to work and collaborate with people of any culture. When I work I am precise concentrated and determined, and I consider it a challenge to solve problems in the best possible way.

I am married and have two sons three and a half and two years respectively. My wife lived in Kenya for a period of two years and is looking forward to the chance of returning to Africa.

My main hobby is music and I have over the the years bought and collected almost three thousand records and CDs. I have travelled extensively in Europe, Asia but most of all Africa. I have picked up many new hobbies as a result of my constant visits to Africa such as game viewing, bird watching and photography.

I sincerely hope to hear from anyone interested in offering me a job.
